Alex Payne is a Director of Product Management working in the Online group at Microsoft. Alex and his team have responsibility for product and marketing strategy for Microsoft productivity solutions with a specific focus on cloud computing, including deep analysis on market trends and how it affects customers and partners. Previously at Microsoft, Alex worked in the PerformancePoint and SQL Server groups where he held responsibilities including product management and marketing with a focus on Performance Management, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing strategy. Prior to Microsoft, Alex worked at Teradata Corp. Altogether Alex has spent that last seventeen years in the Enterprise Software space working in a variety of services, technical marketing and product management roles. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business with concentrations in Economics and Strategic Management.
