Richard talks to Rodney Buike about how System Center 2012 facilitates the construction of private clouds. This is where System Center all comes together - utilizing Configuration Manager, Operations Manager, Virtual Machine Manager, Service Manager and Orchestrator to create effective private cloud infrastructure in your own data center. Rodney talks about how each of the System Center components work together to simplify the deployment of services - beyond the individual VM and into a suite of VM, networking rules, storage, etc. Each of the System Center products bring something to the table in this scenario. Rodney Buike is a Senior Infrastructure Consultant at CMS Consulting Inc. with over 10 years of experience with customers of all sizes. Rodney has spent 4 years at Microsoft as a Technology Evangelist sharing knowledge and experience on core Microsoft technologies. Rodney's current focus is Microsoft Virtualization and private cloud solutions as well as Windows deployment. Rodney maintains connections to the Toronto technology community by participating in TASK, IT Pro Toronto, Halton IT Pros and other local technology community groups and events. He has spent time advising national and local non-profits such as Kid's Help Phone and Carpenter Hospice in Burlington. In his spare time Rodney can be found out running, swimming or cycling as he trains for his other passion, triathlon. He has completed numerous half ironman races as well as the 2011 Ironman Lake Placid race.
